who would have thought

*who would have thought that after so many months of dormancy, this blog will come back to life again?
-yes, ladies and gentlemen. i’m back blogging. there have been so blog-worthy happenings in my life the past few days that i decided to resurrect this blog after a relatively long episode of extinction. i just hope i can maintain it in the next few weeks. i really do.

*who would have thought that i would see rivermaya and hale in one night?
-if you bother to read earlier entries in this blog, you’ll realize how such a fan i am of these two bands. i just can’t get enough of both band’s songs. these bands are really awesome. so you could just imagine how thrilled i am to learn that hale and rivermaya are playing in a common show during the thursday night of the UP Fair. geez. it was really a treat for me. i particularly enjoyed jumping to rivermaya’s songs and cruising to hale’s rendition of "blue sky." hahay. ang saya talaga.

*who would have thought that once in my life, ill get the chance to come face to face with members of hale, while dripping and stinking of freakin mud?
-during that same night, con (she requested not to be named, but i will, just so to immortalize our oh-sso-embarrassing endeavor. haha.) invited me to meet and greet members of hale through her friend, jo. i was really thrilled upon learning this opportunity i have, so we immediately set off to see the band. On our way, con was stuck in deep mud in one swampy portion of the sunken garden. i just can’t leave her there stuck, so i abandoned all my wits and went for the mud too. i managed to help her out of the mud; however, we were too muddy and smelly to meet up with the band members. but what the heck? we still went on to meet them, and there i realized how really nice people hale members are. special mention to their drummer omni who managed to empathize with us while we were in that muddy situation. champ also greeted us while performing on stage. grabe talaga. it was such a funny and for-the-books experience.

*who would have thought that i’ll be treated to snacks by a respected UP professor?
-surprisingly, i just was. rather, my whole news reporting class was. professor khan treated us to some nice pizza snacks at greenwich a while ago after our super fun Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas trip for our news reporting class. The trip was really a fun trip. My j102 classmates were really fun to be with. Add to that the fact that professor khan is such a cool professor. Gosh. im willing to go through that experience all over again.

–having "who would have thought’s" in life is really fantastic. it just goes to show the beauty of expecting the unexpected.
