PaSkong PeyuPs

I had such a freakin’ jolly pre-Christmas celebration thingy with my floor mates yesterday. Iba talaga sa Peyups. You get to enjoy things you do not normally do before, experience new stuffs you never thought you would do so, at syempre, meet a bunch of cool peeps who share the jolly happenings with you. Iba ‘yung feeling. Astig!

SEM ENDER PARTY:

Last, last night, we had this year-ender party thing in the dorm. I was all pumped up to party during the early part of the night, but my energy was dampened due to the FREAKIN’ LOSER na sounds. As in freakin’ loser talaga. Puro techno kasi yung music, pirated yung CD, and their songs were repetitive. Bwiset. Haha.

Fast forward to the next day, I woke up at about 11 am. I slept at about 3 in the morning na kasi the previous night because I had some bonding sessions with Kral when I got back from the party-wanna-be event. Hay naku. Mas nasiyahan pa akong mang-backstab at makipag-kwentuhan tungkol sa mga high school highlights and weird dreams with Kral kesa sumayaw sa loser na party. Pramis .

OBLE RUN AND BOOTH HOPPING:

So ayun na nga. At about 12, I watched the Oblation Run. As if one will find joy in seeing naked men running around a building with masks on and some having sagging, big pot bellies. Hay naku. Wala talagang nakakaaliw. I don’t see the point why people storm our university sa event na yun. O well. It’s not every day nga naman that you see those stuff. Sige na nga. Publicity din yun for UP. Hehe.

After that, naghasik naman kami ng lagim sa mga booths sa Acad Oval. Super saya. We tried the scientific stuffs sa NISMED booth (I particularly enjoyed the freak show # 3, ang gyroscope). Nagkape rin kami sa UP Visitors’ chorva booth, and nag-shoot ng MTV ng hit song na “Tanghaling Tapat.” We also stopped over the Fine Arts booth, tapos nag-ethnic dance din sa isa pa. Wala lang. Tamang trip lang. Just enjoying our freshmen days.

LANTERN PARADE AT PRANINGAN SA SUNKEN:

That evening naman, I and my astig floor mates watched the lantern parade. May mga dragon, “fish ka ba?”, Ashti Perena, masskara festival at meron ding “I’m a little teapot”! Hi-tech at astig. Award talaga! Pero mas award yung fireworks display. As in makatulo-laway ito. Pang-mayaman talaga.

KJ. Ang loser ko that time. Personalan kasi at name dropping. Haha.

So ayun na nga. Naku. I never expected na masaya itong Christmas na ito. I was all absorbed in the memories of my high school days na I expected this season to be boring. Pero ganun na nga ang naganap. New faces, new environment, new happenings—at happy talaga yung mga happenings na yun. Haay. You should really expect the unexpected.
